Angela Records is a science advisor with expertise in genomics, plant pathology, post-harvest handling, food safety, and international development. She has authored or edited dozens of published manuscripts, including a book on plant pandemics and publications in Science, Nature Microbiology, and Proceedings of the National Academies of Science. Angela brings a wealth of experience in planning, organizing, and managing international research programs and building partnerships across academic and research institutes, the private sector, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, research-for-development donors, and other actors toward a shared agenda. She is also an experienced communicator adept at translating complex scientific concepts for a range of audiences and crafting compelling narratives for decision-makers.
Angela holds a B.S. in Biology from Baylor University, an M.S. in Biology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and she earned her Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Texas A&M University, where she studied molecular plant-microbe interactions.
